Azerbaijani Actress Brings Molière's Masterpiece to Life in Turkey"

The famous work "Tartuffe" by Jean-Baptiste Molière, the founder of the classical comedy genre in Western European literature, was staged at the HAN Theatre in Izmir. The director of the play is Rüçhan Gürel.

One of the leading roles was performed by Azerbaijani actress Roza İbadova Kocamaz, who lives in Turkey. Our compatriot portrayed the character of Mariane on stage. The premiere was met with great enthusiasm, News Cover reports, citing Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora.

The theatre reported that Roza İbadova Kocamaz’s performance on stage in the brother country will further promote unity and solidarity between our theatres, in line with the slogan "One nation – two states."

It is worth noting that the HAN Theatre was established in 2007. The director of the play "Tartuffe," Rüçhan Gürel, is also the head of the theatre.
