The 33 Azerbaijani Houses operating in 21 countries around the world play a special role in promoting Azerbaijan internationally. A meeting was held between the heads of Azerbaijani Houses abroad and participants of the 7th Diaspora Youth Summer Camp.
Moderated by Leyla Hamzayeva, Head of a Department at the State Committee for Work with Diaspora, the meeting featured Ramil Aliyev, Head of the Norwegian Azerbaijani House; Mustafa Suleymanov, Head of the Lagodekhi Azerbaijani House; Ramila Mustafayeva, Head of the Turkistan Azerbaijani House; and Ibrahim Safarli, Head of the Hungarian Azerbaijani House, who shared their knowledge and experience with the diaspora youth, News Cover reports, citing Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
The diaspora leaders provided detailed information about the activities of the Azerbaijani Houses, their work to promote Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage and convey the country’s realities in their respective countries of residence, as well as the challenges they face and the achievements they have made.
The guests emphasized that the Diaspora Youth Summer Camps make an important contribution to nurturing young Azerbaijanis living abroad in the spirit of national identity and strengthening their ties with their homeland.
The discussions and views expressed during the meeting generated considerable interest among the diaspora youth.
It should be noted that 123 young people from 64 countries are participating in the 7th Diaspora Youth Summer Camp, jointly organized by the State Committee for Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Previous camps were held in Shaki, Shamakhi, Shusha, Nakhchivan, Lachin and Khankendi, with more than 700 young people from 84 countries participating in the camps overall.
