Various traditions exist around the world to mark the end of summer and bring people together. Spending time together and saying farewell to summer with positive memories are among the main features of these traditions.
In this context, the Azerbaijan House in Canada held an event titled “Farewell to Summer” with the support of Roman Baber, a member of the Canadian Parliament, News Cover reports, citing Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
Various refreshments were served to participants during the event, while face painting and other activities were organized to provide children with an enjoyable and entertaining time. The gathering gave members of the community an opportunity to spend pleasant time together.
One of the highlights of the day was a visit to the Azerbaijan House by Pierre Poilievre, leader of the Conservative Party of Canada.
As a non-partisan organization, the Azerbaijan House places importance on cooperation with representatives of different political and public groups. Such meetings are important for raising awareness of the Azerbaijani community in Canadian society, encouraging Azerbaijanis living in Canada to participate actively in public life, and developing mutual ties.
