The Friends of Azerbaijan Association, operating in Switzerland, participated in an event held on the occasion of Turkey’s “National Sovereignty and Children’s Day.” The event, organized by the Basel School–Parents Association in Basel, brought together Turkish communities in Switzerland and contributed to creating an atmosphere of solidarity and unity.
The colorful and professional performances of the “Buta” children’s dance group, operating under the Friends of Azerbaijan Association, became one of the most memorable moments of the event. Azerbaijani national dances, especially “Uzundara” and “Üzüm,” were warmly received by the participants. The performances of the young compatriots reflected the rich cultural heritage and centuries-old national values of the Azerbaijani people, News Cover reports, citing Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
The event was remembered as a significant occasion in terms of further strengthening the brotherly relations between Azerbaijani and Turkish peoples and developing cultural ties.
It should be noted that the Friends of Azerbaijan Association has been operating since 2021 with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
