The Society of Azerbaijanis in Great Britain has sent a congratulatory letter to Andy Burnham on his appointment as the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The letter conveyed the sincere congratulations of the Azerbaijani community living in the United Kingdom and expressed confidence that, under Burnham’s leadership, the strategic partnership between the two countries would develop further and bilateral cooperation would enter a new stage, News Cover reports, citing Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
The letter emphasized that Azerbaijan is a reliable and long-term strategic partner of the United Kingdom. It noted that the extensive economic ties and investments built between the two countries over many years are based on mutual trust, forward-looking partnership and sustainable cooperation.
The Society of Azerbaijanis in Great Britain also stated that it remains ready to continue serving as a reliable bridge between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom, supporting the expansion of cooperation in the political, economic, scientific, educational and cultural spheres, as well as promoting people-to-people ties and investment opportunities.
