World-renowned photojournalist Reza Deghati met with young participants of the 7th Diaspora Youth Summer Camp, being held in Eastern Zangazur. During the meeting, the renowned photographer gave a presentation featuring photographs he had taken over many years in different parts of the world.
The presentation included photographs depicting the traditions, daily lives and cultural diversity of different peoples, as well as images from wars in various countries, which made a deep impression on the diaspora youth, News Cover reports, citing Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
A significant part of the presentation focused on footage showing the destruction carried out in Azerbaijani territories during the period of Armenian occupation. Devastated towns and villages, destroyed examples of historical and cultural heritage, and the deep wounds inflicted on people's lives by the Karabakh conflict were presented through the lens of the photographer.
Masim Mammadov, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Lachin, thanked Reza Deghati for his remarkable presentation and emphasized that such meetings make an important contribution to strengthening young people's ties with their homeland.
The young participants expressed their gratitude to Reza Deghati for his efforts to convey Azerbaijan's realities, the historical memory of the Azerbaijani people, and the country's national and cultural heritage to the international community.
It should be noted that 123 young people from 64 countries are participating in the 7th Diaspora Youth Summer Camp, jointly organized by the State Committee for Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The camp is being held from August 2 to 8. Previous camps took place in Shaki, Shamakhi, Shusha, Nakhchivan, Lachin and Khankendi, attracting more than 700 young people from 84 countries in total.
