A charity concert was held at the Azerbaijan House in Stuttgart, Germany, to support the treatment of 11-year-old Bennett Klaus, who suffers from severe epilepsy.
The event was organized on the initiative of Gunay Mirzayeva, a member of the Board of the Alliance of Azerbaijanis in Germany, head of the Azerbaijan House and composer. Representatives of different nationalities, as well as Azerbaijani families from various cities across Germany, attended the event, News Cover reports, citing Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
The concert programme featured pianist Khayala Alizade and kamancha player Shahin Gasimli, who performed works by Azerbaijani and international composers. Guests at the musical evening were also introduced to various examples of Azerbaijani culture.
In her speech, Gunay Mirzayeva provided information about the activities of the Azerbaijan House, the support provided by the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora to diaspora organizations, and the projects being implemented. She emphasized the importance of tolerance, mutual respect, solidarity and humanity among different peoples.
At the end of the event, Bennett’s mother, Carmen Klaus, expressed her gratitude for the attention and care shown to her family and highly appreciated the initiative, News Cover reports, citing Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
The charity concert brought together people from different communities and became an example of solidarity and mutual support.
