Seymur Nasirov Awarded for Supporting International Students in Egypt

Seymur Nasirov, Chairman of the Egypt-Azerbaijan Friendship Society and the Azerbaijani diaspora in Egypt, as well as a prominent researcher and scholar, has been honored by the Indian Students Association at Al-Azhar University.

Nasirov received a certificate of appreciation and a commemorative plaque in recognition of his more than 25 years of dedicated service to science and education, as well as his continuous support for students, News Cover reports, citing Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Mohammad Kausar Jamal, President of the Indian Students Association, praised the Azerbaijani scholar for his significant contribution to students' education and development. He noted that through his academic, cultural, and social initiatives, Nasirov has supported thousands of young people.

Expressing his gratitude for the recognition, Nasirov said the award was both a great honor and a greater responsibility. He described it as a tribute to everyone devoted to advancing education.

For many years, through the educational institutions he leads, Seymur Nasirov has provided free educational programs aimed at the academic, cultural, and moral development of students from around the world.

Currently, more than 670 students from 61 countries benefit from the educational programs run by the Egypt-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, with approximately half of the participants being Egyptian nationals. The organization offers free courses in Quranic recitation, Arabic language and literature, calligraphy, artistic design, Azerbaijani and English languages, carpet weaving, traditional music (maqam), as well as reading and writing programs for children.
