The documentary feature film "Dream of Paradise", dedicated to the life and artistic legacy of Mirza Gadim Iravani, one of the most prominent representatives of Azerbaijani fine arts and the founder of the country's national easel painting tradition, was screened in Stuttgart, Germany.
The screening took place at the Arthaus Filmtheater Stuttgart, News Cover reports, citing Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
One of the event's organizers, Gunay Mirzayeva, head of the Azerbaijan House in Stuttgart and a member of the Board of the Alliance of Azerbaijanis in Germany, highlighted the successful implementation of projects promoting Azerbaijan's culture, history, and national values in Germany with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Isa Mammadov, head of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Berlin and one of the organizers, noted that Dream of Paradise not only showcases the unique artistic legacy of Mirza Gadim Iravani but also provides valuable insight into the rich history, cultural heritage, and spiritual values of Western Azerbaijan.
The audience also heard remarks from Amir Ali Sardari Iravani, a descendant of the Khan of Iravan living in Germany and a member of the Board of the Alliance of Azerbaijanis in Germany. Sharing family memories, he spoke about the profound impression the film had made on him, emphasizing that it is a valuable cultural project that preserves historical memory, encourages an objective understanding of the past, and helps pass on the nation's heritage to future generations.
A special exhibition was also organized at the venue, featuring books, publications, and examples of Azerbaijani decorative and applied arts reflecting the country's rich history, cultural heritage, and national values. The exhibition attracted significant interest and gave visitors a deeper understanding of Azerbaijan's artistic traditions.
The event concluded with expressions of gratitude to everyone who contributed to the production of the film and the organization of the screening.
