Khojaly genocide awareness campaign held in London and Edinburgh

In the United Kingdom, an LED awareness campaign was held to mark the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide.

The campaign took place in London and Edinburgh and was organized with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and the initiative of the British Azerbaijani Society, News Cover reports, citing the Azerbaijan State Committee on Work with Diaspora.

Led by Farida Panahova, head of the British Azerbaijani Society and a member of the Coordinating Council of Azerbaijanis living in the UK, the campaign featured vehicles equipped with LED screens displaying information about the Khojaly truths, which drove through the central streets of both cities. The vehicles stopped in crowded areas and in front of administrative buildings of official institutions to bring key information about the genocide to public attention.

As in previous years, this year’s campaign in the UK attracted widespread public interest. Events like this, organized on the anniversary of the Khojaly genocide, play an important role in more fully conveying the facts about Azerbaijan to the international community, promoting recognition of the genocide, and exposing the crimes committed on a global scale.
