A creative evening dedicated to Azerbaijan’s People’s Artist, composer Faiq Sucaddinov, was held at the Lapidarium Gallery located in the center of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.
The event took place with the support of the Azerbaijan Diaspora Support Fund under the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and was organized by the Coordination Council of Azerbaijanis Living in Eastern Europe (Czech Republic chapter) and the Prague Azerbaijan House, News Cover reports, citing Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
The evening was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to the Czech Republic, Yashar Aliyev, compatriots, and representatives of the local public.
Composer Faiq Sucaddinov performed excerpts of his piano works dedicated to the Motherland, native land, and elevated emotions. Participants enjoyed familiar melodies performed by the People’s Artist, experiencing refined musical moments.
People’s Artist Alikhan Samedov’s “Vatan” composition performed on the balaban, as well as Honored Artist Kamran Karimov’s performances on the nagara, were met with applause.
The event also featured the premiere of the song “Love,” composed to a poem by Leyla Begim Jafarova, head of the Prague Azerbaijan House. The emotional performance by “Gaya” ensemble soloist Shola Safaraliyeva became one of the most memorable moments of the evening. Later, poems dedicated to Karabakh accompanied by Faiq Sucaddinov on piano further strengthened participants’ feelings of attachment to the Motherland, national identity, and spiritual values.
The creative evening was assessed as an important event in terms of promoting Azerbaijani culture and arts.
