Azerbaijani diaspora in Italy congratulates country on Republic Day

Azerbaijani diaspora organizations in Italy have congratulated the Government and people of Italy on the occasion of June 2 – Republic Day.

In an official congratulatory letter addressed by Farid Abbasov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan–Italy Association, to the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, it was emphasized that this significant day embodies the highest values of democracy, freedom, unity, and solidarity. The letter highlighted the strong and effective partnership between Azerbaijan and Italy in the fields of culture, education, economy, energy, and tourism.

It was also noted that the Azerbaijani community in Italy plays an invaluable role in building cultural bridges between the two nations and strengthening mutual understanding and friendship, News Cover reports, citing Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora.

In a separate congratulatory message addressed to the Italian people and state institutions by Fidan Abdullazade, head of the Azerbaijani Cultural House in Milan and coordinator of the Coordination Council of Azerbaijanis in Italy (Milan chapter), the country’s values of national unity and freedom were highly appreciated. Satisfaction was expressed with the strong friendship between Azerbaijan and Italy and the cultural dialogue that brings the two peoples closer together.

The messages wished the Republic of Italy and its people continued peace, progress, prosperity, and success.
