Azerbaijan House in Brussels Hosts 'Caravan of Friendship' Event for Children

The Azerbaijan House in Brussels hosted an event titled "Caravan of Friendship", bringing together Azerbaijani children living in Belgium. The event was supported by the Azerbaijan House and organized by the BUTAM Azerbaijan Cultural Association.

The main objective of the event was to unite Azerbaijani families living in Belgium, strengthen friendships among children, reinforce their connection to national and moral values, and encourage greater interest in the Azerbaijani language and culture, News Cover reports, citing Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora.

As part of the program, children took part in a variety of educational and recreational activities, including creative workshops, interactive games, and fun learning sessions. They listened to Azerbaijani folk tales and children's stories, performed songs reflecting the national spirit, and recited poems dedicated to their homeland, friendship, and family values. Held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, the event gave children the opportunity to make new friends while learning more about Azerbaijan's cultural heritage.

Parents attending the event emphasized that such initiatives make an important contribution to preserving the national identity of Azerbaijani children growing up abroad, maintaining the Azerbaijani language, and strengthening their spiritual ties with their homeland. They noted that these activities also help foster friendship and solidarity within the Azerbaijani diaspora.

At the end of the event, the BUTAM Azerbaijan Cultural Association presented the children with various gifts.

Currently, 33 Azerbaijan Houses operate in 21 countries around the world, including the one in Brussels. In addition, there are more than 90 Azerbaijani weekend schools in 24 countries. These Azerbaijan Houses and weekend schools provide free cultural and educational services to members of the Azerbaijani diaspora as well as to foreign nationals interested in Azerbaijan.
