The Hague Cultural Event Brings Together Local Families and Azerbaijani Community

The Netherlands-Azerbaijan Turkish Cultural Association, based in The Hague, organized a community cultural event for residents of the Transvaal district with the support of the Municipality of The Hague.

The event, which attracted strong participation from local residents—especially children—aimed to bring together people from different cultural backgrounds, strengthen community solidarity, and support the development of children's creativity and social skills, News Cover reports, citing Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora.

A diverse program of educational and recreational activities was prepared for children. They participated in interactive and educational games, demonstrated their knowledge and logical thinking in competitions, created drawings and handicrafts, and showcased their imagination and talents through various creative activities. The outdoor program also featured sports competitions, team games, relay races, and other fun contests.

Parents and local residents also had the opportunity to socialize, make new connections, and strengthen community ties. The event was warmly received and remembered for the children's joyful smiles, the positive experiences of families, and its friendly atmosphere.

Since 2009, the Netherlands-Azerbaijan Turkish Cultural Association has also been organizing Dutch language courses in cooperation with the Municipality of The Hague. The initiative aims to support young people from different countries who have moved to the Netherlands and wish to integrate more fully into Dutch society.
